King Charles joins Keir Starmer for a sustainability tour in Newquay

 

The King, Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and Deputy Prime Minister paid a combined visit to Newquay, highlighting the town's outstanding sustainability and community-driven initiatives.

Their first trip was Newquay Orchard, a vibrant community facility that promotes education, skill development, and environmental awareness.

The royal and political triumvirate met with volunteers and workers at the Community Kitchen, where residents receive employment assistance and culinary training.

Then they went to Nansledan School, an eco-friendly primary school founded by the Duchy of Cornwall. With a curriculum focused on sustainability, STEM, and health education, the school encourages hands-on learning.

The leaders saw a PE class, talked with children in their classrooms, and investigated the school's outdoor learning facilities.
