Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are scheduled to make a dramatic joint debut at the Invictus Games in Vancouver, their first public appearance since the recent media scandal.
The pair landed in Canada on Friday night, traveling in from Santa Barbara on a private plane.
The nine-day festival begins with a spectacular opening ceremony at BC Place Stadium, which will feature performances by Katy Perry, Chris Martin, and Nelly Furtado, as well as an address from Prince Harry.
Their participation coincides with speculation about their marriage following a Vanity Fair article last month, which the pair has strenuously rejected. The story also contained unnamed accusations concerning Meghan's leadership style.
Despite the media attention, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex seemed composed and confident as they landed in Vancouver.
Organisers guarantee that this year's Invictus Games, which have previously taken place in London, Orlando, Toronto, Sydney, The Hague, and Dusseldorf, will be the largest ever, with 40,000 spectators sold out.
