Prince Harry has reiterated his support for the Invictus Games, stressing that it would continue for as long as required.
The Duke of Sussex made the vow during his recent attendance at the Games in Vancouver and Whistler, where he was joined by his wife, Meghan.
Regarding the future of Invictus, Harry told People magazine, "I've already had a lot of people come up to me and ask if there will be a continuous cycle of Winter Games, and the answer is, we'll have to wait and see!"
He said, "It's incredible how, after ten years, we're still doing this.
"We will continue the Games for as long as they are required — and the demand is rising rather than decreasing.
"So the fact that there will be a full cycle back to the UK is a place that I never thought we would be."
Prince Harry told the newspaper, "I wish we could close this down because there was no need for it, but as long as there is, we will keep it going."
"I know the UK is looking forward to having the Games back to where it started."
Birmingham will host the Invictus Games in July 2027, after winning a bid against seven other cities across the world.
According to the organization, Birmingham's winning proposal was based on its shown great commitment to the well-being and recovery of current and past military people.
The Duchess's departure was apparently planned.
