Billy Joel has canceled his next shows after receiving a diagnosis.

Joel posted to Instagram on Friday, May 23, to announce that he is canceling his gigs after being diagnosed with normal pressure hydrocephalus.

According to his statement, his physical activity while performing in concerts aggravated the disease, which caused hearing, vision, and balance problems.

The Piano Man hitmaker revealed that he has been "advised to refrain from performing during this recovery period."

He expressed gratitude for the outstanding treatment he is getting and reaffirmed his commitment to prioritize his health. He appreciates the fans' support during this period and hopes to return to the stage one day.

"I'm sincerely sorry to disappoint our audience, and thank you for your understanding," he said in a statement.

Fans' tickets will be automatically reimbursed.

This comes after Joel fell during his concert at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut in February. The singer got back up and resumed his act. A month later, he canceled the remainder of the tour until June, claiming a "medical condition" that needed him to "undergo physical therapy under the supervision of his doctors."

"Joel is expected to make a full recovery," his team stated in March. "The tour will resume at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh on July 5, 2025."
