Alan Wake 2, Remedy Entertainment's famous 2023 horror game, is arriving to PlayStation Plus next month. Sony announced the high-profile PS Plus inclusion during its State of Play gaming expo on Wednesday. In addition to Alan Wake 2, the PS Plus monthly game list for October includes Cocoon, an independent puzzle adventure, and the self-evident Goat Simulator 3.
PS Plus customers will be able to add the titles to their libraries beginning October 7. This month's PS Plus monthly games remain accessible and may be added until October 6. Psychonauts 2, Stardew Valley, and Viewfinder are among the games scheduled for September release. Here's a deeper look at the titles coming to PS Plus next month:
Alan Wake 2
PlayStation is celebrating Halloween by adding Game of the Year 2023 candidate Alan Wake 2 to PS Plus. The survival horror game is a sequel to Alan Wake and continues the narrative of the eponymous author, who has been stranded in an other reality for years. In addition to Wake, the game tells the narrative of an FBI agent named Saga Anderson, who is investigating a string of ritualistic killings.
While there is some action and third-person shooting, the game mostly functions as a cinematic psychologic horror title. Alan Wake 2 was published on October 27, 2023, and received a nomination for Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2023. It will be playable on the PlayStation 5.

Cocoon
Cocoon tells the story of a beetle who solves interdimensional riddles to travel between different planets. There is no handholding, suggestions, or guidance. You awaken on a deserted world and begin exploring. As you travel the landscape, you will soon encounter orbs, each with its own realm.
You can enter the orb and be taken to a new planet. You solve interwoven riddles by switching between realms, gradually revealing the broader mystery. Cocoon will be available on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
Goat Simulator 3
If you didn't realize there were three Goat Simulator games, that's because there weren't. The Goat Simulator series (if there is one) bypassed the second game and moved on to Goat Simulator 3. It's a third-person action game, similar to the original, in which you play as a goat. And, because goats serve no function, your goal is to create havoc in the game's sandbox environment. Goat Simulator 3 also has a four-player co-op option, allowing you and your buddies to be goats together. The game will be playable on both PS4 and PS5.
