Carrie Underwood appears to have ridiculed Katy Perry over her Blue Origin space voyage.
Speaking with Access Hollywood, the singer, who replaced Katy as a judge on American Idol last year, chastised her for taking part in Blue Origin's space mission.
"The day I go to space will be when the good Lord decides that my time on Earth is up and takes me home," said Carrie, who won the singing competition in 2005.
"So, that will be the day I leave this Earth," the woman said.
Lionel Richie also gave his opinion on Katy's space experience.
"My initial reaction was, 'Get out the capsule.' It wasn't like anything was going to go wrong. It's just that I dislike the term "never happened before." So I answered, "You go right on, girl," he said.
The 75-year-old singer stated that he had no ambitions to follow in Katy's footsteps.
"I am having difficulty navigating Earth and gravity. When asked if he'd ever go to space, Lionel said that even walking straight every day is a hard endeavor at this stage in his life.
For those who are unaware, Katy traveled to space with six other women last month.
