Jonathan Lipnicki, who began his acting career as a kid star, sees triumph in his child fame.
However, in a recent interview with People, the actor admitted that the transition from kid star to actor has presented its own set of obstacles.
"It's totally fine to say I'm not where I want to be career-wise," he told the site on May 7. "Everything we're doing in this life is nearly impossible."
Jonathan, who worked alongside Renée Zellweger and Tom Cruise in the 1996 thriller Jerry Maguire, claimed that he has been very choosy about selecting assignments, stating that he has "said no to about five movies in the last year."
"I just really want to turn this ship around," the 34-year-old actor added. "I pray every night for clarity on where I need to go, and I believe the best is yet to come for me. And I suppose you simply have to believe it. If you're going to pursue this, you're doing yourself a disservice by not dreaming big."
"I had some really good things that happened when I was younger," he said, citing his roles in films like Stuart Little and Like Mike.
Furthermore, Jonathan stated that throughout his teens, he opted to pursue "normal" life above performing, despite the fact that he never officially stopped acting.
