Kelly Clarkson is the latest famous artist to experience poor ticket sales, with about 70% of tickets still unsold for the first night of her impending Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace, according to Ticketmaster statistics as of Wednesday night.
The 43-year-old singer and talk show presenter is set to begin her 18-date "Studio Sessions" engagement on July 4, but current data indicate that demand has been low, according to the Daily Mail.
The problem isn't limited to opening night; following concerts through November 15 have comparable or worse availability.
Unlike Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter Tour, whose seats have been reduced to as low as $35, Clarkson's lowest tickets, positioned in the rear corners of the auditorium, begin at $85 after fees, according to the publication.
Premium seats vary from $230 to more than $1,000, and VIP packages are still readily available for the opening night.
Despite Clarkson's efforts to set her residency apart by performing all-live compositions with no background tracks, many remain apprehensive.
According to the journal, this pattern reflects larger issues in the live music industry, as even famous artists like as Beyoncé have had trouble selling tickets in a post-pandemic economy typified by high pricing and changed entertainment habits.
Clarkson, who recently released a new tune titled Where Have You Been, has stressed the genuine tone of her upcoming gigs.
