Meghan Markle has been threatened with a lawsuit for over £8 million by one of her followers who was burnt.
The fan suffered a "catastrophic burn" after attempting one of Meghan's dishes from her Netflix program With Love, Meghan.
The recipe asked for Epsom salt, Himalayan salt, arnica oil, and lavender oil to make homemade bath salt.
The fan, Robin Patrick, is a diabetic who reported "persistent burning, discomfort, and the emergence of new blister-like sores and ulcers daily," according to RadarOnline.
In light of this, she is seeking'substantial damages' from Meghan, the Duchess, Netflix, and Archewell Productions.
She further said that she's "deeply concerned about the risk of infection, sepsis, or other complications," yet "the pain feels as though it is burning from within."
At one point, she described how things took a turn for the worst, saying, "Initially, I experienced a mild tingling sensation without discomfort."
"However, as the water level rose to cover my legs and reached my buttocks, I began to feel burning and significant discomfort in those areas."
She got out right away and swirled the water within with her hand, which started scorching again.
"That evening, while showering, I experienced intense burning as water contacted the affected areas, which had developed into ulcers," but before signing off, she did hint that she'd be prepared to settle "without litigation" for a cash settlement.
According to GB News, Meghan's lawyer Cameron Stracher has already responded with a letter stating that "the use of Epsom salts is contraindicated for individuals with diabetes except on the advice of a physician."
And claimed that "it was not foreseeable that you would disregard the instructions on the Epsom salt packaging in order to make and use your own bath salts." For this reason, no negligence claim may be made against anybody engaged in the series' creation or dissemination.
It is important to note that her claim for financial recompense is £60,000 "minimum" for medical bills and £8 million in punitive damages to "deter similar conduct in the future."
