Kensington Palace has issued a major statement following Prince of Wales Prince William's most momentous step.

The palace released a preview for Prince William's new documentary alongside an emotional statement.

According to Kate Middleton and Prince William's office, "Rangers play an important role as the first line of defense in the protection and conservation of our natural world."

The announcement continues with the following: "United for Wildlife are celebrating these remarkable individuals, and their tireless efforts to protect some of our most valued natural assets, in a groundbreaking new docuseries, 'Guardians'."

United for Wildlife also tweeted, "Rangers are in the forefront of the struggle to conserve our endangered animals and habitats.

"Join us in exploring their incredible stories in 'Guardians', a new docuseries created with our founder Prince William and @BBCEarth."

Last month, United for Wildlife published photographs of Prince William and Kate with the caption, "For over 20 years, the rangers of Mull and Iona have been protecting the unforgettable landscapes and connecting communities with nature, history, and wildlife."

United for Wildlife's new financing guarantees that their critical mission continues: protecting these rural beauty spots, promoting outdoor education, and making wildlife accessible to everyone.
