Queen Camilla faces fresh fears as she returns to UK with King Charles

 

On Tuesday, King Charles and Queen Camilla returned to the UK after completing a quick visit to Canada.

Camilla has been a staunch supporter of her husband, particularly while the king undergoes his illness treatment. However, the Queen had to face a tremendous obstacle when she joined Charles on the 20-hour journey.

According to former royal butler Grant Harrold, Camilla was terrified while traveling to Canada with the royal couple on a historic trip.

"While she has to travel all over the world, flying was never her favorite mode of transport," the former employee revealed, adding that the 77-year-old is "definitely not a fan of flying."

Camilla is not terrified of heights, he stated, but it is "more the turbulence" that bothers her.

"Even though she has this fear, she deals with it when she does have to travel," Harrold told me.

According to the former butler, when members of the royal family fly, "there are no security checks, no scanners, and no limited luggage" and they experience "luxury" in the air. They "walk straight onto the plane without a ticket" and consume food in the VIP lounge.

Furthermore, they get a menu to select their own meals during the journey. However, the main issue is the jet's size.

"It's a jet, so you get to enjoy luxury, and it's a pleasant way to go. But the problem of these planes, when I was on them, was that they were clearly little and prone to turbulence," the former butler noted.
