Scarlett Johansson, the renowned actress best known for classics like Lost in Translation and her role as Black Widow in the Marvel world, recently spoke up about her future in acting.
The 40-year-old actress made her directorial debut with Eleanor the Great, but she remains open to performing.
Even with her new employment behind the camera, she referred to herself as "an actor for hire," indicating that she had not abandoned the spotlight.
Scarlett revealed in a candid interview with Collider: "My objective is to work on movies that I would go see, whether it's 'Jurassic World' or this picture.
"The commerciality of things is vital to me. Would audiences want to watch this? Is this usually interesting? "Those are the things I look for, focus on, and care about."
The actress said, "So, we'll see. I'm still an actress for hire, and I want that to be widely published."
Scarlett Johansson, on the other hand, screened Eleanor the Great at the Cannes picture Festival and revealed that she was frequently brought to tears while directing the picture due to its extremely emotional subject.
