Buckingham Palace posted a video on Wednesday of King Charles entering a hybrid Uber Boat operated by Thames Clippers.
Thames Clippers is a network of river bus services that run along the River Thames in London.
During his visit, the king spoke with employees and apprentices while traveling to the Tideway project, a deep-level sewer along the tidal stretch of the River Thames in London.
A statement released by the royal family read: "Colloquially known as London's 'Super Sewer', The King saw first-hand the benefits to biodiversity, including 71 trees and 3,000 plants on 'Bazalgette Embankment': the largest of a set of new public spaces which cover the underground infrastructure."
It continued: "His Majesty was introduced to a team of construction workers before unveiling a plaque to mark the completion of the Thames Tideway Tunnel."
