This weekend, while promoting the eighth Mission: Impossible film, Tom Cruise gave his thoughts on the franchise.
The 62-year-old actor attended the New York City premiere of Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning on Sunday, where he answered some tough questions on the red carpet.
"I did the best you can, and it's representing all the efforts of everyone involved at that particular moment," he told the magazine People.
"I looked at it and I really see what it takes to make these movies and what I've learned about storytelling [in] this particular genre," says Cruise.
When asked if he would alter anything about the Mission Impossible films if he were to do it over again, he said no.
Cruise also discussed Michael B. Jordan's surprising arrival at the film's London premiere, where they had an emotional talk and hugged.
"He's incredibly talented," he stated on the red carpet. "He's an excellent actor. He is committed to his craft. "I really respect him."
"I love to see people do well in life," he joked. "I've worked extremely hard to help individuals and see them succeed, including filmmakers and performers. "People know that my door is always open."
On May 14, 2025, the new Mission Impossible film received a five-minute standing ovation at its global debut at the Cannes Film Festival.
