Tom Cruise has been filming Mission Impossible films for over three decades, from 1996 until Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning 2025.
At the New York premiere of his film, the Hollywood actor spoke up about his experience filming it.
"This story is a culmination of the last 30 years," he explained, according to Variety. "It's been around seven years since we first discussed ['Dead Reckoning - Part One'], and McQ wanted to produce two of them. I said, 'You want to make two'?"
In the previous franchise, Ethan Hunt, a highly trained agent who works for a covert government agency, is on a mission to eliminate a dangerous sentient AI weapon before it reaches the enemy's hands.
The 62-year-old actor expressed thanks for being a part of the film, adding, "During that time, we made 'Top Gun: Maverick' and went through a pandemic and two strikes." We all joined together to make this a reality. It's a pleasure and privilege to be here and entertain you.
