Buckingham Palace provided an update as Queen Camilla got a new accolade today.
Camilla made a visit to Hexham Racecourse today, where she was met by the racecourse management and introduced to prominent members of the racing community.
The photo was captioned, 'Thank you Hexham for the lovely greeting today!' The Queen met with local community leaders and stallholders in the Northumberland market town before visiting Hexham Racecourse to officially dedicate the 'Queen Camilla Stand.'
Her Majesty started her visit on the paddock grass, meeting with the directors and workers that administer the property. She then made her way to the parade ring, where she met trainers, jockeys, veterinarians, medical specialists, and local horse trainers, as well as their animals.
The Queen's visit was part of a larger engagement with racing industry members at the ancient Northumberland facility, which has a racing history dating back over 300 years.
Her Majesty also traveled to a newly constructed stand designated in her honor, where she listened to industry professionals discuss current trends and issues in horse racing.
Camilla met Major Charles Enderby, the racecourse's former managing director, who served from 1969 to 2016.
