'Wicked' fans react to the first trailer of 'Wicked: For Good'. 'crying'

 

Fans of Wicked have now seen the long-awaited trailer for its sequel, Wicked: For Good.

The future film will depict the events of act two of the Broadway musical, which takes place several years after the first installment. The teaser also included a clip of the songs No Good Deed and For Good.

The film's official logline reads, "In a world changed forever, the friendship between Elphaba and Glinda is tested as they navigate their new identities and the consequences of their actions."

"As Dorothy's journey to Oz unfolds, Elphaba grapples with being the Wicked Witch while Glinda embraces her role as Glinda the Good," according to the release.

Fans quickly flocked to social media to express their reactions to the teaser.

"Stop, I'm about to weep. Why do I think Part 2 will be even better than Part 1?" one person said.

"When they drop the soundtrack, I'm going to be insufferable," another said.

"Crying screaming flying, I can't," a third fan said.

A another admirer responded: "If I'm freaking out this hard over a small snippet of No Good Deed, I actually think the full song is GOING to kill me in November."

Along with Erivo and Grande, Jonathan Bailey, Jeff Goldblum, Michelle Yeoh, and Ethan Slater as Boq and Marissa Bode.

Wicked: For Good is scheduled to open in theaters on November 21.
