Ed Sheeran is giving an inside look at his next plans ahead of the release of his new album Play.
The worldwide sensation, who previously received plaudits for back-to-back successes such as Azizam and Old Phone, is excited to reveal his highly anticipated new track, Sapphire.
Shape of You singer expressed delight about his new single, revealing that it was his favourite song on the album so far.
He explained, "Sapphire was the first song I finished for Play that let me know where the album was going. This is why I completed the recording process in Goa, surrounded by some of India's top musicians. "It was an incredible creative process."
Sheeran also hailed his cooperation with Indian musician Arijit Singh, fawning about the song's Punjabi rendition.
The new song's video includes Singh as well as a legendary appearance from superstar Shah Rukh Khan, with Sheeran playing on a rooftop.
Ed is slated to hit the stage at Portman Road in Ipswich on July 11, with special guests Myles Smith and Tori Kelly.
