Lisa Kudrow has revealed intriguing insights about her role as Phoebe Buffay in the famous sitcom Friends.
The actress appeared on Variety's Actors on Actors series, where she chatted with US actress Parker Posey on how the part was "a lot of work" because she was so different from the character.
"The series was fun the whole time, because we had fun, and the cast had fun," claimed the 61-year-old, who costarred in the comedy with Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Matt Le Blanc, and the late Matthew Perry.
"It was like a collaboration with the writers, because they were so great and nice and good," the actress explained.
Lisa went on: "But me being Phoebe was so far from who I was as a human being that it was work."
"I wanted to rationalize what she was saying in my thoughts so that it felt genuine to her. "It was a lot of work," said the actress.
Lisa recalls the show's second or third season, and "I was just doing it, and went, 'Oh my god, I'm not doing the work.'"
"I was pretty concerned about it. And LeBlanc said, 'What's up with you? "I said, 'I'm not doing the work that I did,'" stated the actress.
Lisa said, "I used to enjoy really working, and he said, 'You're her.'" "You don't have to do it anymore."
