OpenAI introduced two new utility features for ChatGPT users on Wednesday. The AI app for MacOS now includes a Record Mode that can record meetings, brainstorming sessions, and voice notes, as well as transcribe and summarise the major points of discussion. This functionality is currently available exclusively to ChatGPT Team subscribers. Furthermore, the San Francisco-based AI business is launching Connectors, a tool that allows the chatbot to connect to the user's own cloud-based data sources such as Gmail, Outlook, Google Drive, and others.
ChatGPT may now record your meetings
In a series of postings on X (previously known as Twitter), OpenAI's official handle introduced the new ChatGPT functionality. The company also held a live webcast on YouTube to demonstrate these business-oriented capabilities. Both of these capabilities are only available to the company's paying members; however, the Record Mode is exclusively for Team users. Additionally, Record Mode is not accessible in the European Economic Area (EEA), China, or the United Kingdom.
Workspace admins can also now build custom deep research connectors using Model Context Protocol (MCP) in beta.

Separately, the AI company launched Connectors. The technology enables ChatGPT to connect to third-party internal data sources and get information in real time. The tool is compatible with Outlook, Teams, Google Drive, Gmail, Linear, and others. Team, Enterprise, and Edu customers may now access SharePoint, Dropbox, and Box. Connectors will only function with Deep Research.
