The royal family's official social media platforms reposted the monarch's remark, in which he expressed his "special prayers" and "heartfelt thoughts" to the victims and their families who were affected by the dreadful events of July 7, 2005.
Prince William's father added, "While the horrors will never be forgotten, we can take comfort in the way such events bring communities together in solidarity, solace, and determination."
"It is this spirit of unity that has helped London, and our nation, to heal."
He concluded his note with the following: "As we remember those we lost, let us therefore use this 20th anniversary to reaffirm our commitment to building a society where people of all faiths and backgrounds can live together with mutual respect and understanding, always standing firm against those who would seek to divide us."
Notably, the Edinburghs have been representing the royal family on important occasions since King Charles and Princess Kate's cancer diagnoses.
There are claims that the pair would be assigned crucial jobs and roles during King William's reign.
