Xiaomi announced the Xiaomi 17 in China on Thursday, along with the Xiaomi 17 Pro and Xiaomi Pad 8 series, which run HyperOS 3 and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 CPU. A day later, the business announced a new RAM and storage model for the phone, which would be on sale next week. The Xiaomi 17 has Leica-tuned triple rear cameras and a 7,000mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging. Its body is IP68 certified for dust and water resistance.

Xiaomi revealed a new 16GB + 1TB RAM and storage edition of the Xiaomi 17 in a Weibo post on Thursday. The latest model, priced at CNY 5,299 (approximately Rs. 65,900), will go on sale in China beginning October 5.
The new version will be marketed alongside the Xiaomi 17's RAM and storage options of 12GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 512GB, which are presently available in China. The handset is available in Black, Ice Melting Blue, Snow Mountain Powder, and White (translated from Chinese) colors.

The Xiaomi 17 comes with HyperOS 3 and has a 6.3-inch 1.5K (1,220×2,656 pixels) OLED display with up to a 120Hz refresh rate and 3,500 nits peak brightness. It is powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 CPU and supports up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
The c has a Leica-tuned triple rear camera configuration, consisting of a 50-megapixel main Light Fusion 950 sensor, a 50-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 50-megapixel ultrawide-angle sensor. It is equipped with a 50-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.
The Xiaomi 17 has a 7,000mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless rapid charging capabilities. Its dust and water resistance certification is IP68.
