After being compelled to renounce his titles and honors due to increasing pressure, Prince Andrew is clinging tightly to the final status symbol of royal life.
In his opulent 30-room house, Royal Lodge, for which he hasn't paid rent in over 20 years, the disgraced brother of King Charles has shut himself in.
In a statement issued by Buckingham Palace last week, Andrew gave the explanation for his decision to no longer utilize his royal titles and honors. He took the action following a conversation with the monarch and his "immediate and wider family," arguing that the accusations against him still "distract" from the royal family's duties.
Following the action, activists from the anti-monarchy organization Republic protested at the gate of Windsor Great Park and Royal Lodge on Tuesday, increasing pressure to remove the embittered royal from the expansive property.
The Sun claims that Andrew has remained in his darkly lit opulent house, locking himself up and playing video games for hours on end. The king surrounds himself in his bedroom with a variety of teddies, which is a feature that may be described as "creepy."
According to a source, Andrew wakes up late in the morning to spend time in the master suite with his numerous teddy bears. After changing, he eats breakfast and, according to the site, spends the most of the day playing computer games and watching TV on a huge screen that nearly fills one wall.
