When Prince Harry went for an open interview on the Hasan Minhaj Doesn't Know podcast on Wednesday, he was unable to hide his true feelings.
The presenter, who has the capacity to combine serious and essential themes with the type of sarcastic humour, seemed to find amusement in the Duke of Sussex's extended speech about mental health and the concerns for children's future as social media merges with AI.
Judi James, a body language specialist, noted that although the conversation was serious, there were some humorous parts that Harry found enjoyable and others that he did not.
She specifically singled up a scene in which Harry was unhappy and dissatisfied with Hasan's path when the topic of his biography, Spare, was brought up.
Hasan is informed by King Charles's son that he is perspiring and that his uneasiness is becoming apparent when the subject of Spare and Harry's "vulnerability" is brought up.
Judi told The Mirror, "Harry's change of expression suggests he believes this is the part where they talk seriously about his mental health," yet the host's statement about Harry having to buy his clothing from TKMaxx seems to insult him once more.
The quotation had discussed how his "pa" had reduced his "official clothing allowance" to solely formal wear, which sounded more pointless than a real issue.
Hasan's theatrical reading of the statement did leave Harry speechless, but he was able to play along by laughing a bit. The Duke was "in need of support and even some advice about whether he should join in the mockery of himself or just drop out," according to Judi, who also saw that he had been slyly looking at the crew.
Despite this, Hasan's humor did not appear to be motivated by malice. Harry seems to have been taken by surprise.
