A video of Denzel Washington ranting at a photographer on the Cannes red carpet is circulating on the internet.
The 70-year-old Highest 2 Lowest star was conversing with Spike Lee, the film's director, when a photographer on the red carpet pulled Washington's elbow to draw his attention.
Washington's costar A$AP Rocky was reaching out to the actor when Washington spun around and confronted the photographer who was touching him.
Washington warned the smiling photographer to stop. Despite nodding in agreement, the photographer grabbed the actor's arm again.
Washington, visibly agitated, released his arm and issued another strong warning to the photographer, repeatedly saying, "Stop."
When the Oscar winner was later interviewed by the press, he did not mention the intense discussion.
"It was a great evening," the actor told People Magazine.
Washington also earned a surprise Honorary Palme d'Or soon before the film's theatrical debut.
In his acceptance speech, the Gladiator II star acknowledged his amazement at receiving the festival's top prize.

"This is a complete surprise to me, so I'm a little emotional, but I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart." "It was a fantastic opportunity to work with my brother from another mother, Spike," Washington stated during his remarks.
"To be here again in Cannes, you know, we're a very privileged group in this room because we get to make movies, wear tuxedos and nice clothes, dress up, and get paid for it," Washington said, to which the crowd laughed.
"You know, we've been blessed beyond measure, as have I, and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. "Thank you."
