Harrison Ford recently acknowledged his love for his co-star, Michael J. Fox, as they prepare for Shrinking season 3.
The 82-year-old iconic Hollywood actor spoke with PEOPLE magazine while visiting the Shrinking FYC Event at Apple TV+ Emmy House, The Hollywood Athletic Club, in Los Angeles on Sunday, May 18, about Fox's participation in the third season of Shrinking.
Ford chuckled: "His willingness to be part of our show is a great source of inspiration and gives us a real purpose."
He went on to say, "It's more than simply two actors getting together. There is a tale to tell, and our dedication to that story is what binds us together. I admire his willingness to take part in the performance.
Notably, Ford plays Dr. Paul Rhodes, a therapist who practices mental health therapy while grappling with his own Parkinson's diagnosis in Shrinking.
According to the National Institute of Aging, Parkinson's disease is a "brain disorder that causes unintended or uncontrollable movements, such as shaking, stiffness, and difficulty with balance and coordination."
The condition worsens with time, with some patients experiencing "mental and behavioral changes, sleep problems, depression, memory difficulties, and fatigue."
Reflecting on this, Ford stated that Fox is "pleased" that the Apple TV+ series is "bringing Parkinson's more into the light" after being diagnosed with the condition in 1991 at the age of 29.
Following his diagnosis, Fox has dedicated his life to raising awareness and funds for individuals suffering the cancer.
Before finishing, it is worth noting that Michael J. Fox's participation in Shrinking season 3 has yet to be revealed.
