According to sources, editor-in-chief Anna Wintour reportedly 'blocked' Meghan Markle from appearing on the cover of British Vogue's September 2022 edition due to issues with the Duchess's staff for allegedly over-'micromanaging'.
The planned piece, which was supposed to highlight Meghan's philanthropic endeavors, was eventually canceled due to rising tensions over the cover specifics.
According to sources, the circumstance also contributed to a schism between Meghan and former British Vogue editor Edward Enninful, with fashion industry insiders speculating on a feud.
Insiders allege the feature was abruptly deleted due to disagreements about how the cover should be presented.
One insider told the Mail that Meghan was 'difficult about the cover' as her staff fought for certain straplines to be featured.
'Anna learned about the scenario and effectively banned her, stating, "That's it." We are not doing this," the insider stated.
As a result, Meghan was withdrawn off the cover of British Vogue's September 2022 edition, and Canadian supermodel Linda Evangelista took her place.
