Meghan Markle commemorated her seventh wedding anniversary with Prince Harry by posting a poignant picture collage on Instagram.
However, others were not pleased, with one describing Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex's nice gesture as a "narcissistic" show.
The collage comprised the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's favorite memories from their relationship, stretching back to the beginning.
It included adorable photos of their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, as well as handwritten lyrics.
"We've been married for seven years. Meghan captioned the photo, "A lifetime of stories."
She said, "Thanks to all of you (whether at our side or from afar) who have loved and supported us throughout our love journey; we appreciate you. "Happy Anniversary!"
Royal expert Ingrid Seward criticized the gesture and questioned the need for such a public display of their delight.
She told The Sun, "I've never heard of somebody producing a mood board for a wedding anniversary, but maybe it's happening now.
"But I think it's... Meghan is just so Californian in everything she does," Seward went on. "And that is not a criticism, that's the way they do things."
"Most likely, it's entirely normal. But I suppose it's one of those things where you can gaze but not touch.
"You know, these are my children, but they're small photographs that you can't see. Aren't Harry and I happy?
The expert went on to say, "It appears to me to be a pretty egotistical manner of celebrating an anniversary.
"Show it to the world. Surely if they were as happy as she claims, she wouldn't have to inform everyone. That's what it feels like to me."
