Sadie Sink has spoken out about the allegations surrounding her part in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Since it was announced that Sadie Sink had been hired in Spider Man: Brand New Day, many have speculated that she may be Toby Maguire's Peter Parker's daughter Mayday Parker.
In a new interview, Deadline asked the actress whether she could provide any information about her involvement in the film.
She said, "No." I notice a lot of rumors, too. They've been incredibly enjoyable to read. I adore the Marvel Universe. I mean, they are wonderful rumors."
Sink is now on a roll in her career, having been nominated for a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play for her role in John Proctor is the Villain.
During the conversation, she also raved over her Stranger Things co-stars' support for her Broadway show.
When asked if they came to watch, she said, "Yes. A large number of them attended the opening night, which was wonderful. Gaten Matarazzo, a major admirer, expressed his pride. I know how much he loves Broadway, and the fact that he was ready to return so many times exemplifies true theater kid enthusiasm and devotion. It's something we've always had in common, so when he learned I was doing this play, he was overjoyed."
Regarding her return to Broadway, she stated, "Broadway actors, I believe, are some of the most incredible athletes in this craft." I've always had the utmost regard for theater, and it certainly nurtured me, and then I was carried away by cinema and television, but returning to it was really essential for me."
"I wanted to test whether I could still do it, and I knew there would be a significant learning curve to return to it as an adult. Just a quick recap of what originally drew me into acting. "I couldn't be more fortunate to have discovered Kimberly's play, this incredible ensemble piece that's extraordinarily well written and just felt really important," she added.
Sadie Sink had previously been on Broadway in the shows Annie (2012-2014) and The Audience (2015).
