David Beckham received excellent news amidst rising difficulties in his family.
According to reports, the former English captain's long-held dream will be granted, as King Charles plans to bestow the prestigious title upon him.
According to The Sun, David will be knighted in the King's Birthday Honours List next week. He will be recognized as Sir David, while his wife, Victoria Beckham, a well-known fashion designer, will be referred to as Lady Beckham.
The sports celebrity has been vying for the title for a long time, but he has always failed to make the list.
Notably, David was awarded an OBE (Order of the British Empire) in 2003.
It is worth noting that the Beckhams' links to the royal family have grown stronger since their disagreement with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Similarly, the senior royals, including King Charles, Prince William, and Princess Kate, have shown sympathy for the power couple, particularly during the family strife.
In 2024, David was named ambassador to The King's Foundation. Speaking on his role, the Philanthropist stated at the time, "I'm excited to be working with The King's Foundation and to have the opportunity to help raise awareness of the charity's work."
David and his wife Victoria have recently made appearances on guest lists for major royal gatherings.
It is worth noting that the update on David Beckham's knighthood came after multiple sources suggested that there is little hope of reconciliation between Harry and the royals, particularly following the surname change dispute.
