During Netflix's Tudum event on Saturday, May 31, the South Korean actor who played Gi-hun, the protagonist in the dystopian survival thriller horror television series, confessed that he is concerned about how the last chapter would be accepted by viewers.
"We are going to be releasing quite soon, and I am very nervous," the 52-year-old actor revealed in a brief interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
Lee, speaking via an interpreter, teased the devastating forthcoming chapter, which would signal the conclusion of the worldwide acclaimed series created, written, and directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk.
"I know that a lot of you out there are curious about what's going to happen in season three, but we're all more curious about how much you're going to enjoy it," he remarked, expressing his pre-release nervousness. "So I can't wait, I'm very nervous."
Over the weekend, the streaming service delighted fans with the release of the official teaser.
The sneak look highlighted Gi-hun's return to the deadly games following the failed insurrection that ended Season 2, with the stakes raised higher than ever.
