Kelly Clarkson has had a "moment of clarity" after her unexpected resignation from her talk program earlier this year.
According to those close to the artist, she has overcome adversity and emerged stronger and more focused on her objectives.
According to an insider, "This has all been extremely painful for her." The challenge is that Kelly, like all of us, wants to be loved, and she had to deal with this new phase in her life. She understood she needed to move aside for a moment."
The 43-year-old singer departed the set of The Kelly Clarkson Show for over two weeks in March, generating conjecture about her motivations for leaving.
While fans were told she was dealing with a "private matter," Clarkson has yet to reveal the specifics publicly.
Clarkson's buddy gave insight on her previous experiences, stating, "Kelly grew up without a father and had an incredible love story with Brandon." She is a kind and loving person, and what has transpired [recently] has enabled her to move on from the divorce."
Clarkson's divorce from ex-husband Brandon Blackstock in 2020 was a widely publicized and acrimonious event. The couple has two children: River Rose and Remy.
Blackstock was not just Clarkson's spouse, but also her manager, in charge of negotiating lucrative arrangements such as her multimillion-dollar television contract with NBC.
As one insider put it, "The irony is that he's had a very positive influence on her life; he made these phenomenal deals for her, and she wouldn't be here without him." But it's difficult to be a boss and a husband.
Clarkson has been frank about the difficulties she encountered after her divorce, telling Apple Music in 2023, "Just to be brutally honest, I did not handle [the divorce] well."
Clarkson, who returned to the program on March 18, expressed emotion during the 1,000th episode celebration: "We've created a community and supported each other through a lot of ups and downs..." There have also been many ups and downs in my personal life."
