It appears that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are establishing an unexpected partnership, and the tensions between the Sussexes and royals have spread to the Beckhams.
Prince Harry, along with his brother Prince William, had an excellent connection with David Beckham. However, Harry had a falling out with the Beckhams after Meghan accused Victoria Beckham of leaking secrets to the press.
Meanwhile, the Sussexes reportedly met with Brooklyn Beckham and wife Nicola Peltz, who are embroiled in a fight with their own family, at a mutual friend's dinner party in Montecito.
According to The Mail on Sunday, Brooklyn and Nicola's meeting with Harry and Meghan went well, as the young couple has since engaged a lawyer based on the Sussexes' advice.
According to sources, Brooklyn and Nicole have hired British solicitor Jenny Afia to assist them with "reputation management".
The Beckhams had "much amusement" at the decision, which comes three weeks after the Montecito party, as the "irony is not lost on them".
"They fell out with Meghan and Harry after they accused them of leaking stories - they were furious and Brooklyn knows that," a source told me.
"You couldn't really make it up, first Brooklyn and Nicola cosy up together and realise they have quite a lot in common, and then all of a sudden they have enlisted the help of the Sussexes' long-serving lawyer," according to a person familiar with the matter.
"Nicola and Brooklyn are fed up with stories that they don't like. Nicola enjoys having complete control over everything, which is why they took such harsh measures."
The announcement follows Closer Magazine's allegation that Victoria pleaded with Meghan not to intervene in her family problems.
