The forthcoming Superman film, directed by James Gunn, will include David Corenswet.
The new action sci-fi film, which also stars Rachel Brosnahan, Nicholas Hoult, Milly Alcock, and Isabel Merced, will be released in theaters on July 11.
According to executive producer Chantal Nong, the 35-year-old actor took a low-key approach to his superhero character.
He portrayed a character that "never fits in."
Nong said to Collider: "This Superman is a guy who's never fit in, and yet, there's so many ways that you can think about that."
Producer claimed that James Gunn was pleased by Corenswet's principles.
"He's a really good, kind man, and if you think about goodness and kindness in the world right now, it's more anomalous than you'd like for it to be."
Chantal said, "David very much exemplifies that. He is fairly low-key. He's such a kind man. "He's always doing things for others."
The forthcoming Superman film, directed by Gunn, is backed by Warner Bros.
