Colman Domingo has officially joined the cast of Wicked's planned sequel.
Taking to Instagram, the 55-year-old shared a short video of stuffed lions foreshadowing his involvement in Wicked: For Good.
The actor remarked in the video, "See you in Oz," and ended it with a wink.
Colman has revealed that he will play the "Cowardly Lion" in the upcoming musical fantasy with Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo.
The announcement comes after director Jon M. Chu hinted in a Deadline interview on Thursday that viewers will go 'crazy' when they find out who is voicing the character.
According to Chu, a prominent Hollywood star will be on the red carpet.
Fans have gone crazy ever since Domingo was confirmed as a cast member in the forthcoming Wicked film.
They were astonished to learn that the producers had released this huge news ahead of the debut.
"Surprised they shared this before the premiere, but I am so thrilled" , a fan posted on Twitter.
Meanwhile, another added, "When Jon M. Chu predicted we'd stress out over the voice, he wasn't kidding. Im Obsessed.
Many people are glad with this new casting, since they were concerned when James Corden was rumored to portray "Cowardly Lion".
"Okay, it is verified that the lion is not James Corden or Lin. "Now you can sleep," one social media user remarked.
Wicked: For Good, produced by Universal Pictures, is set to open in theaters throughout the world on November 21.
