Following the September debut of the iPhone 17 series, rumors concerning the iPhone 18 series have began to surface. According to a source, the iPhone 18 Pro might arrive in a variety of different colors. Three new colorways have been rumored, two of which have never been available on the iPhone. The handset, specifically, is slated to be released in September 2026, with the second-generation iPhone Air and the first-generation iPhone Fold.

The Cupertino-based tech behemoth has already released many versions of a purple iPhone. The iPhone 11, iPhone 12, iPhone 14, and iPhone 14 Pro have all been available in some shade of purple, most often known as lavender.
However, Burgundy and Coffee are likely to be completely new color possibilities for the iPhone. The latter might be a darker version of the Desert Titanium colorway, which Apple released with the iPhone 16 Pro models last year.
The insider also stated that Apple will not release a black iPhone Pro model.
Previous sources indicate that the iPhone 18 Pro would have a 6.26-inch LTPO OLED display with 1.5K resolution and HIAA (Hole-in-Active-Area) technology. It would use an under-display Face ID sensor, with only the selfie camera visible.
Apple is likely to employ TSMC's second-generation 2nm (N2) technology for its forthcoming A20 processor, which will launch in 2026 with the iPhone 18 Pro. It is expected to increase power efficiency and thermal performance by utilizing a new Wafer-Level Multi-Chip Module (WMCM) architecture in which the SoC and DRAM are more tightly integrated, while also lowering power usage for Apple Intelligence functions.
While launch specifics are unknown, sources suggest Apple is considering a staggered release for the iPhone 18 series. The iPhone 18 Pro versions, as well as the iPhone Air successor and iPhone Fold, might be released in Fall 2026, with the normal iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e following in Spring 2027.
