Meghan Markle is rediscovering her "authentic voice" now that she no longer needs to follow royal etiquette after leaving the UK in 2020.
In her podcast series, Confessions of a Female Founder, the Duchess of Sussex recently discussed her pregnancy with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, which was difficult.
"People forget that Lili is three and Archie is five. So if you look at the last five or six years of my life, it's been filled with being pregnant, having a baby, or having a toddler, and then another," Meghan confessed to being completely consumed by parenting.
In an interview with the Mirror, psychologist Stefan Walters stated that the Duchess is "partly creating a platform for herself, because she was ridiculed publicly, and when she and Harry left the UK, there was a lot of scorn directed at them."
"By doing her podcast, she now has a brand, but more importantly, a voice," the medical expert explained.
Stefan said that the former Suits actress was not permitted to express herself when she was an active working royal because it "went against the brand of the royals."
"So she's creating an authentic voice and just being honest and open," he told me.
The expert also discussed the obstacles women encounter when pregnant. Meghan is now, said Stefan, "perhaps feeling that she's able to create and relive some happy memories around pregnancy and the early years of her children's lives."
