Stranger Things, three years after concluding season four, has officially confirmed the release date for the much awaited season finale of the smash TV series.
In season four, the Hawkins group meets a terrible new adversary, Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower), who terrorizes teenagers due to their trauma. As Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) recovers her abilities, the gang discovers more connections between Vecna and the Upside Down.
During the Tudum 2025: The Live Event, Netflix revealed the release dates for the horror science-fiction series: volume one on November 26, volume two on December 25, and volume three on December 31.
However, many fans were disappointed with the release schedule, especially given how long it took to develop season five.
They resorted to X (previously Twitter) to express their dismay and views to others.
"What are these dates, omggg a month to wait for volume 2????" "I am too impatient for this," one person said.
A fan expressed their dismay, saying, "This is one of the worst release schedules for a TV show that I've ever seen."
One expressed the opinion, "Waiting like 5 years for a show, and then they split it into three parts????" omg, is this a joke?
"Girl, this is just one season... "Y'all are dragging it by dividing it into three parts," wrote another.
Stranger Things season five summary states, "Hawkins is scarred by the opening of the Rifts, and our heroes are united by a single goal: find and kill Vecna." But he has disappeared, and his location and goals are unclear.
"Complicating their objective, the government has placed the village under military quarantine and increased its search for Eleven, driving her back into hiding. As the anniversary of Will's abduction approaches, a heavy, familiar dread grows.
