Prince Harry was moved to tears by King Charles and Prince William's heartfelt homage to their heroes who safeguard the United Kingdom and promote peace across the world.
The Duke of Sussex was overcome with emotion as the King and future monarch used their social media accounts to commemorate Armed Forces Day, which is marked on the final Saturday in June in the United Kingdom.
It's a day to express your support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community, including active duty members, veterans, spouses, and cadets.
To commemorate the day, the king stated, "he salutes all members of the military."
According to a source close to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, "King Charles and William's tribute brought tears to Harry's eyes, as he too had served in the British Military and even taken part in operations in Afghanistan."
"The Duke of Sussex served in the British Army for 10 years, from 2003 to 2014. He attained the rank of Captain in the Army Air Corps. "The royal was also deployed to Afghanistan twice," they said.
The King's remark, uploaded on the royal family's official Instagram account, read: "Thank you for your hard work in preserving the UK and supporting peace across the world. We are deeply thankful for your efforts, frequently in the face of danger, and for those of your loved ones who provide support at home."
