The cost-of-living problem in the United Kingdom has taken a heavy toll on Kate Middleton's mother's company.
Carole Middleton owns a party supply firm that had a "awful Christmas," according to the Daily Express.
According to the story, Mrs Middleton founded Party Pieces after becoming dissatisfied with the lack of choice available for children's birthday party materials.
"Carole's been stressing that it's been a dreadful Christmas — made worse by the postal strikes," a source told the Daily Mail.
"She's emphasised that she'd like to continue doing business with them [the suppliers] but would prefer conditions that enable Party Pieces 90 days [to pay for items] rather to the typical 30 days," an unidentified insider told the publication.
According to the Daily Mail, Mrs. Middleton's plea to suppliers did not go as planned.
According to the Daily Exprey, Party Pieces Holdings lost £285,506 in 2021, resulting in a £1.35 million net deficit on the balance sheet.
